 About Me

I was born and raised in Auburn, Kansas (small town South of Topeka).  I attended high school at Washburn Rural High School where I participated in football, basketball, wrestling, and was a member of the National Honors Society.  After high school, I recieved an athletic scholarship to Ottawa University where I played football and baseball.  I transferred to Emporia State where I recieved my degree in Physical Education and Biology. After college, I was fortunate to have been offered a position at Andover Middle School.

This is my 6th year as a teacher here in Andover.  I currently teach 8th grade physcial education and health.  Along with teaching, I am the head middle school football coach, assistant boys basketball coach, and assistant varsity baseball coach at AHS.  In my short five years in teaching/coaching I've had the opportunity to teach and coach many wonderful students!  Teaching and coaching has always been a dream of mine and I enjoy each and everyday of it.

This last summer I got married to my wife Lisa.  We live in Augusta with our two pets Max (cat) and Gunner (dog).  We honeymooned in the Bahamas where we had such a blast!! While in the bahamas we had the opportunity to swim with dolphins which was such an experience!  I would recommend anybody to do it if they ever have a chance.  Hopefully someday I will get a chance to go back.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy playing basketball, fishing, hunting, and playing fetch with my dog "Gunner".  I am a huge KU Jayhawk and KC Chiefs fan!  Needless to say those are my two favorite TV programs to watch.
